Ruby Sanctum? We Killed 'im!
We had a Halion of a time!

Congratulations!  Let it be known that only suffering exists in the realm of Twilight.  But we had to go there to defeat the boss!  At least we didn't cut ourselves (much).  After figuring out the fight, moving when we had the debuff,  cleansing the debuff in a timely manner, learning how to dodge the Twilight Cutter, and how to effectively balance our raid, we defeated Halion in both 10 and 25 man.  The progression continues!  The Lich King Shall Fall!

Halion's mechanics are pretty interesting, and if this is a taste of what expansion bosses will be like, bring on the Cataclysm!  Ruby Sactum clear the first week it was out!  (Realm Fifth 25-man -- and we waited til the weekend.)

Sindra-goes-down
We were dragon our asses, but we finally managed to defeat the Frost Queen.

The mad former consort of Malygos finally fell last night in a fierce battle.  We managed to get to sub 10% many, many times.  Trash respawned and time was running out but we decided to give it another shot.  She pulled while we were doing trash!  We even did Sindragoa-1D.  It didn't work out too well.  However, we managed to defeat both Spinestalker and Rimefang and then pulled her without her dragon guards.  With a perfected stategy going into phase 3, we managed to defeat Sindragosa on the last attempt of the night.  That usually how it works when i say it's the last attempt.  Besides that, Galse decreed earlier in the night that Sindragosa would die and we gave it our all to fulfill that decree.  And, obviously, we could not have done it without Firble's puns.

Congratulations!

The Lich King Shall Fall.

The King is Dead; Long Live the King
In the long hours of a Saturday night and wee hours of Sunday morning a group of intrepid Bloodforged members set off to save Azeroth from the clutches of the Lich King. It was not the first time the band had set off to face this foe but they had vowed it would be the last. Many of them had spent several nights learning how to dance with the Lich King. They knew where to drop off the Necrotic Plague, how to stun the Val'kyr, avoid the Defiles, kite the Vile Spirits, and release the tormented soul of Terenas Menethil. On the third attempt it all clicked only to have Arthas slay them all just as they were about to end his reign. And then Terenas resurrected all but the pets so that they might end his son's suffering.

It was an epic experience and some have said it was on par with our first kill of Lady Vashj. Now we can move into ICC 10 on heroic mode.

Aenora, Cauchy, Galise, Khaia, Kilim, Kressara, Pitchifus, Ryuonatomay, Sinnafay and Zhr were there for the kill, but they couldn't have done it without all the others that participated in the many attempts and helped learn the fight, Alamexia, Gizmodo, Rhanetanahhn and Saali.  We'd also like to thank the entire guild for their support.  There was literally zero drama from the guild when it came down to who was getting to go to the fight and who was not.  This means a lot to the leadership.  Thank You.

[Valius, Gavel of the Lightbringer] Kressara
[Windrunner's Heartseeker] Cauchy

Congratulations.

(Written by Cauchy, with some additions/suggestions from Aenora, Riley, and Alamexia.  And Alamexia cropped the photo a bit too, bwaha!  There is a thread devoted to more pictures of the victory in our forums.)
Another Boss Bites It -- BQL Defeated!
Congratulations, Bloodforged!  On Wednesday night we took down the Blood Queen Lana'thel.  There were a lot of issues.  My connection hated me, some UIs were having difficulties not showing the Vampiric Bite button, some folks were having issues even getting the bite to land. It got somewhat frustrating wiping due to some unknown reason because a Bite wouldn't work.  On the kill attempt, I actually DCed the entire time pretty much.  For a DPS race, I guess they didn't need me. I came back to a mostly dead raid, but so was Lana'thel.  It counts,  and we have cleared the Blood Wing.  After the kill, we one-shot every other boss in the raid except the other end-wing bosses and the Lich King.  It was a great night and is a good sign of things to come! Only Sindragosa and Lich King remain to be defeated!

Good News, Everyone!
Professor Putricide was defeated in Icecrown Citadel 25.  Thanks to everyone who made attempts on the boss and who were available.  I said "This is our last attempt" and, unfortunately, the attempt didn't go well and people had to leave.  Luckily, more people logged on and we managed to defeat him.  We had to deal with oozes spawning as soon as transitions occurred, terrible RNG, as well as a tank disconnection during the final phase.  I am glad we persevered through terrible circumstances and got a kill.  All the terrible puns helped, I think.

We're back on track, but could still use some recruits!  Tassov, one of our new death knights, mentioned that Bloodforged has the perfect balance between goofing off and getting things done.  I think that perfectly describes Bloodforged -- and we did get stuff done.  The Plague Quarter has been defeated.  Congratulations!

[Tiny Abomination in a Jar] Alamexia (omfg thanks!)

If you are planning on going to the real life guild meet-up that we are planning, would the weekend of Nov 20 be good for you? We know it is close to Thanksgiving.

Yes, that's fine.

I can make it, but I'd rather it be another time.

No, that weekend is pretty terrible for me. If you moved it I probably could go.

No, that weekend is pretty terrible for me, but I don't think it'll work out for me anyways no matter what.
